Here's a little script to help newbies with detecting what type of visitor they are having.

Detect Googlebot:
Code: [Select]
var isGoogle = navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf('Googlebot') > 0;
Detect iPhone and iPad:
Code: [Select]
var isApple = navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf('iphone') > 0 ||  navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf('ipad') > 0;
Detect Android:
Code: [Select]
var isAndroid = navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf('android') > 0;

Domain Names / Redirecting a Domain
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:17:08 AM »
Hey, I was wondering if it's possible for me to redirect a domain to a website and when someone uses the domain that redirects, the color scheme of the website changes (to dark)? So both domains go to the same website, just one uses a lite color scheme and the other uses a dark.

Is this possible?

Sorry my wording makes it sound confusing, I seem to be experiencing stoned like qualities due to sleep deprivation...

$10 is about the cheapest you'll get....some hosts offer cheaper but those prices only happen when you use them as a host.

Google / Your experience from trying out Google+
« on: July 04, 2011, 06:48:24 AM »
okay, I've just spent 30 minutes on Google Plus and I have to say I'm impressed. posting pictures, adding comments, following friends are just simple and yet extremely effective. Especially the notification button, it does everything in an instant, you don't have to click on it and work your way to the main page to post. It makes fb is like the website of the 90s. My internet is currently on restricted speed but Google+ is just so fast and I can't complain anything about it.

The only thing I had little problem on Google+ was getting used to it, it was a bit quite difficult to navigate around but considering 30 mins to know your way is not too bad.

Pay Per Click Advertising / Re: PTC sites are all scam
« on: December 09, 2010, 11:24:26 AM »
Yeah I lost so much damn money on ptc sites it's not even funny :D
Stop trying ptc, pyramid scams or hyip's, the only way to make a little bit of money off them is to design them yourself I think...

If you have enough traffic to make a decent amount of money from google adsense, stick with that ;p

JavaScript / Re: google adsense search box border
« on: September 22, 2010, 09:55:34 AM »
I'm guessing the border comes from the script I see on a similar page with a search box so put

Code: [Select]
<script>(function(){var input = document.getElementById('cse-search-box').q; = "none";})()</script>

after that script (with source from google)

not working
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "">
<html xmlns="" xml:lang="en" >
        <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
        <form action="" id="cse-search-box">
            <input name="cx" type="hidden" id="search" value="partner-pub-9564556370134088:ifvoli-ci0h" />
            <input type="hidden" name="cof" value="FORID:10" />
            <input type="hidden" name="ie" value="ISO-8859-1" />
            <input name="q" type="text" />
            <input name="sa" type="submit" value="Search" />
        <script type="text/javascript" src=";lang=en"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript">
            (function(){var input = document.getElementById('cse-search-box').q; = "none";})()
anyone with some idea?
It has to come after the script line for Google's code.

For example it works like this:

General Marketing / Re: List of useful marketing resources
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:24:43 AM »
While there really are a variety of tools and resources I use, here are a couple I use often:

Competition / Industry Analysis (I leverage via RSS Feeds):

Searches over 32,000 news sources and over 320,000 blogs at once on target keywords.

Google Alerts

Sends intel from blogs, news sources, web, video and groups based on your keywords to your email or through RSS. Excellent with use of advanced queries (I know of 6, if you're interested in them just send me a message).

Provides you RSS alerts on any new event that matches your selected keyword. Good for learning about conferences, seminars, etc. that would interest you or your competitors are hosting.

PPC Ad Tools / Search Tools / Keyword Tools / Link Analysis / etc.

This place just provides a whole plethora of tools that you can take advantage of for your marketing efforts. All free to use.

Computer Forum / Re: Windows sucks, but everybody uses it?
« on: May 12, 2010, 09:34:00 AM »
Before windows 7 came out, people had a lot of problems with windows because of faulty memory reads and writes for device drivers causing regular General Protection Fault.
Most people who criticize Windows don't understand operating systems at all and bloat their system with tons of crap, which consumes small amount of resources, but together they equal a lot.
If they had a better understanding of the insides of a computer it would be a different matters. These people are just dumbasses and live in New York.
The main problem with these useless little applications is that they are written by developers who are sloppy and do not housekeep their code, use efficient algorithms or conserve memory, instead adding in all kinds of stupid useless crap...Microsoft would later admit that the 3D effect it used to use in Office consumed a huge amount of resources completely needlessly.

Linux is a far more stable operating system because there simply aren't tons of crap to add to it, programmers write cleaner code, and the core of the system is much much leaner.

The downfall for Linux and the big plus for Windows is user-friendliness. Some linux distros can be an absolute pain in the ass unless you know about your hardware. Years ago I used to have to build my own linux kernel just to get all my hardware working properly. Whereas Windows is ready to run after a nice graphical install.

Windows is for people who have no time to learn about computers. Linux is for people who give a damn about computers.

That 90% your talking about is because 90% of the people who use computers don't have the brains or the time to understand what's actually going on.

Google / Re: Is Google the Next Microsoft and Microsoft the Next Apple?
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:25:52 AM »
You can moan about the privacy with Google, but quite honestly, you shouldn't worry if you havn't got anything to hide really? I don't care if I get adverts on the things I like, or people know that I like these things.

As for Windows, I'm not sure, they have their good times, and their bad times, but I don't think they would ever turn into an Apple like company.

As for Google, they're just expanding, as they should, and they are a great company that works well with lots of good features on offer.
