HTML & Website Design / Re: best html editor?
« on: November 13, 2007, 10:09:44 AM »
There are many editors available in the market like Frontpage, Adbobe GoLive, Xsite Pro, Nvu , Xsite Pro and a few others but I still think Dreamweaver is the best one.

Hit:  It can be any file type like .css, .gif file etc.

Visit: A visit is typically a hit on a page, like .html, .php, etc. depending on the context.

Session: Duration of a visit

Unique visitors: Unique visitors means unique IPs

Repeat visitors: Repeat visitors means page views from the same IP address.

Use following code to communicate with

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); // Returns response data instead of TRUE(1)
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, rtrim( $fields, "& " )); // use HTTP POST to send form data
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_PROXY,"");

IMO Title should match the content of the page. For SEO, better have titles, headers, meta description, content etc. match each other as good as possible

I think you haven't enabled mysql extension in php.ini
Open php.ini in text editor. On windows system normally it is in c:\Windows\php.ini or search the system for php.ini file

find the following text and remove semicolon ( ; ) from the start of the line

Restart  webserver

I hope this will work

Microsoft / Re: How can I submit my link to MSN?
« on: April 26, 2007, 10:40:55 AM »
Why submit ?
You just needs to have BL and msn makes the job. I never submitted a site to MSN and other SE. After a few weeks later, the sites appear anyway.

Yahoo / Re: How to rank well in Yahoo?
« on: April 25, 2007, 08:29:36 AM »
Using keywords in page names, header tags, bold/italic text and the body text leads to good rankings. Keep the density a little under 10% to avoid being spammy and then get the inbound links with the keyword in the anchor text.

PHP / Re: Filter Form data in PHP
« on: March 26, 2007, 10:33:08 AM »
It is a good practice to filter user input before sending it to database. Suppose you want to validate user first or last name entered by user. You can inspect data to prove its validity using ctype_alnum function.

Code: [Select]

$filtered_value1 $_POST['user_name'];

I hope this will work

JavaScript / Re: protect site from printing

You can handle this by using CSS. Put following code inside the <HEAD> tag.
Code: [Select]
<style type="text/css" media="print">
  body{ display: none;}
