Messenger is good if :

1. Have no trouble in Chat Session
2. Have no trouble in Speak Session (sound & mic needed)
3. Have no trouble in WebCam (see self or/and each other)
4. Interesting Interface.
5. Have Webmessenger that we could open wherever we are.

from those five point, i choose Yahoo Messenger at first place, MSN 2nd, Skype 3rd...

Pidgin is the king of IM clients.
Use it on both Win&Linux. Works flawless on both.

theres a messenger that cums with linux, u can log into everything yahoo msn u name it its there. but theres no sound or webcam

I vote for Pidgin its clean simple free and can actually handle most IM clients i can be signed into MSN Google and Irc at the same time.

Pidgin Rules! I just wish it supported offline messaging for msn. Other than that, it is a great IM program.

Trillian for me.

I wish they would finally complete their beta testing of the new version though.

I have been a Trillian fan for years and although it is long in the tooth, it does what I want it to do easily and very well.
