HTML is the basic language. If you want to learn DOTNET language than you have to learn HTML first.

There should not be any type of comparison between HTML and .net, HTML is only used for front end design and .net can be used for server side coding and logic development.

Html is easy language comparition to .net . html has no script no database , it is easy to use and understand.
.net is based on microsoft.....

ASP.Net pages are a completely different  to the HTML pages.

ASP is a server-side programming language, which means that the code you write gets sent to a server and it returns some code depending on what you told it to do.

I would recommend learning PHP rather than ASP, as it is much more popular, and it's easier to code, cheaper to host (on a server), and it has much more support.

PHP is similar to ASP, but it's much more efficient. It's best pointers are database connections. These can create login systems, product displays and interactive pages. It also helps to make Content Management Systems.

According to my opinion, HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) is the easiest programming language to learn and use.
